Military Freefall, MFF
Designed Purpose:
- Training freefall skills
- Preparing to freefall jumps with small-size portable cargo container and hand-carried weapon
- Preparing for dusk jumps
Training Program:
- Training Program:
- Theoretical ground school
- Practice all parts of the jump
- Wind tunnel training
– 15 minutes
- Basic training course of freefall jumps
– 8 jumps with 2 and 1 MFF instructor
- Training jumps upon advance freefall program
– 2 jumps with 1 MFF instructor
- Low-altitude training jumps
– 1 jump at a height of 1200-1500 meters
- Individual parachute jump
– 2 jumps
- Training jumps with relative work elements
– 4 jumps with 1 MFF instructor
- Training freefall jumps with small-size portable parachutist’s drop bag and hand-carried weapon
– 6 jumps with 2 and 1 MFF instructor
- Training dusk jumps
– 1 jump
- Main parachute packing training
- Examining jump
– 1 jump with MFF instructor to demonstrate the skills gained during the MFF training course
Students will graduate with 25 jumps
Wind Tunnel Time: 15 minutes
Course duration:
15 days:
- One day of theoretical ground classes including wind tunnel training
- Two-day timeout for rest and additional training
- 12 jumping days
Instructor Ratio Per Student: 1:3
Military Freefall Training Course Pre-Reqiusites:
- Background experience at least 3 jumps
- Candidate must pass examination in health to get permission for parachute jumps
- Candidate’s weight must not exceed 120 kg
Gained Skills:
Gained skills will allow the graduate to select drop point, prepare and perform freefall parachute jump in normal weather conditions, daytime and dusk, to prepared landing zone 50*50 meters in size, with small-size portable cargo container and hand-carried weapon.
